Sharm, Yanbu
This has become our the new favorite area to unwind at during our off. Recent posts were from last week, and yesterday, we went there again. Got some images which I will be posting I-am-not-sure-when, but it will be some time again till I get to explore more of the small beaches here. Until I see you again. (:

Gobiidae Encounter (Set II)

Aquarium keepers have their own ‘dream’ tank/s or set-up/s. Mine include a saltwater set-up (read: nemo), a brackish one with oddballs like the figure 8 puffer, and a paludarium (an aquarium setup with terrestrial and aquatic elements) where mudskippers could be kept. (Click on the picture to zoom).

Gobiidae Encounter (Set I)

Oldest of [tumblr] friends possibly know how I am very interested with fish. (Fishkeeping and a bit of aquascaping were my first serious, long-term hobbies until I had to leave home.)

Above are photos of what I suspect to be a mudskipper, relative of freshwater gobies (but there are also saltwater ones) that I found scraping algae on the rocks on a small portion of Sharm beach.

Sharm Shore
Water splashing on the rocks and keeping the (apparent population of) snails attached on them wet. Didn’t notice until this post’s writing that there is one mudskipper resting on one of the rocks —if you could find it. I did/do claim that it is a mudskipper but the absence of ‘mud mud made me doubt’. ;)
