  • Yanbu Al Nabah

If anyone cared to look intently, there are some dark spots (just like my face, hehe) in these gifs (also visible in this one). They are especially obvious in long exposure photos and sometimes even in a one second exposure (in this case, 2 seconds). These have worsen over time since the first time I spotted them about two years ago. I once had the camera sent to the Canon Service Center here in SA but was not remedied. I never had the opportunity to have it serviced in the Philippines during the short vacations. So, basically, when the spots are very much visible, I patiently apply anti-spot cream deal with each of them in post but not on gifs which use many stills. :D

  • Yanbu Al Nabah

    Twenty-seven still images (each at f/22, 1/5 sec, ISO100, 18mm, just between 6:24 and 6:25 pm).

Taken somewhere about 50 kilometers off the Yanbu town proper. Few structures are within the vicinity and that smoke spewing thing in the background is the Yanbu Cement Company (about 6 kilometers away). We were in this spot to camp and fish, and also a chance for me to really try and experiment with the GND.

  • Somewhere in Al Madinah

Somewhere over the mountainous part of Al Madinah Region during a flight from Dubai to Yanbu. (April 2014)

  • Burj Khalifa

Burj Khalifa among other Dubai skyscrapers on a humid morning. (September, 2014)

  • "…dandelion…”

Missed to post this one here but it has been on the YS page and surprisingly, somehow, made it to the trending/popular page. :)

  • Yanbu Mangrove

As the month of Ramadan closes, it’s time for us to take a short break and relax, and also wander into [nearby] places. A way to break photography rut —see and photograph the mangroves by the Red Sea coast.

Mangrove photos from before the sun touched the horizon and a bit after sunset.

    Yanbu, Al Madinah
